Research Poster Printing
Research poster printing is a service provided by the Isché Library.
Initial funding for equipment and supplies was provided in part by the School of Graduate
Studies.
**April 24, 2026 - Poster printing at the Isché/Downtown Library is
suspended due to equipment failure.**
Poster printing is available for faculty, residents/fellows, staff, and students of LSUHSC-NO only.
Policy:
- This service is for academic research posters only. Posters for personal use, student events, or research that is not affiliated with
LSUHSC-NO are not eligible for this service.
- All posters submitted for printing must be the final draft in PDF format, set to your desired size.
- Maximum poster size of 59 inches in any direction.
- Please note: Library Staff cannot resize submissions and are not responsible for proofreading
posters or for any style or content errors.
- All posters printed by the Library must include a LSUHSC-NO logo.
- All posters must be submitted directly to the Isché Library at least 3 business days before the requested pick-up time.
- During periods of high demand, for instance, Graduate Research Day, we suggest that posters be submitted 4-5 days in advance. Posters may be picked up any time during Library operating hours.

- You must approve an 11X17 proof in-person before poster printing will begin. DO NOT WAIT TO COMPLETE THIS STEP.
- We cannot add your poster to the queue until this step is completed. We recommend that you approve your proof no less than 1 full business day before the
poster is needed.

- Printing typically occurs between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
- Only authorized Library staff are allowed to operate the poster-printer. We cannot guarantee the availability of
trained staff outside of these hours.

- Students and faculty are limited to a single copy of their submitted poster free-of-charge. Additional copies will not be accommodated.
- The Libraries do not provide tri-fold free-standing boards or any other type of mounting or any other customized finishing of printed posters.

- To set the size of your poster: in PowerPoint go to Design -> Slide Size -> Custom Slide Size where you can specify the width and height of the slide in inches. A video tutorial is available here: https://youtu.be/xYFud_A9wqo?feature=shared.
- To export your document, choose either Save As and select PDF, or Save as Adobe PDF, or choose Export and select Create Adobe PDF. To maintain the correct size, DO NOT “Print to PDF”. This will resize your file

- The Graphics Department of the Campus Technology and Supply Store can provide assistance with poster design for a fee, 15 minute minimum.
